Meet Pumpkin

We had a family tragedy last Sunday, when one of the kid’s guinea pigs died.  It was a heartbreaking 48hrs with a funeral, lots of tears and worrying that Ginger would now be lonely.  We wanted to surprise them when they arrived home from school, so Dave and I went on the hunt for a female guinea pig companion for Ginger.

There was not one female within a 10km radius and as we were leaving the pet store with some fresh straw and a new guinea pig toy (? yes, they do exist), we saw this tiny little muffin and couldn’t leave without her.

Meet Pumpkin, our 7 week old Mini Lop bunny.  We love her!
