Hello! It has been a while between posts and photographs. Mostly that has been due to a crazy pre-Christmas workload followed by my Mac going to sleep for longer than it should have. The enforced editing break over Christmas and New Year was just what the doctor ordered.
I always love the first few weeks of the year – it’s as though any goals and plans I make now are more powerful than if I made them at any other time. Not true, of course. But it is still my favourite time for goal setting. I have been using Leonie Dawson’s 2013 Create Your Incredible Year Workbook. It is absolutely brilliant — I’ve printed it out, popped it in a binder (separating the Business Edition and Life Edition), and am working through all her prompts and questions. I highly recommend it if you are a goal setter too! *
As for us… over the last month we have…
Built lego.
The kids freely decorated the real green tree and I decorated one of my own.
We made our traditional Chunk Choc-Fruit Xmas Cake that we have been making every year since Jaz was 3. The kids press the hazelnuts into the top and I always photograph them doing it and hope that when they’re adults they will still bake this cake with me.
We went Christmas light hunting.
And set our Christmas table.
And Christmas morning happened.
And now we are well and truly in the thick of the holidays. Jaz has been painting.
All three love a bit of a snuggle with their iPods.
The tide was out and Will found about 20 golf balls.
Will swam and Imogen was cute.
And I followed Jaz around trying to get a photo.
All in all, the year is off to a great start and I hope yours is too! xo
