Getting Excited

January 30, 2011  |  Family / Journal  |  2 Comments

So, in 3 weeks we will be in Las Vegas.  Holy cow — I am just so excited.  After a week in Vegas for WPPI (photography industry convention), Dave and I are taking the kids for a 3 week holiday.  We have been wanting to do this trip for years, and I can’t quite believe it’s actually become a reality.   I am most looking forward to New York, driving through the desert area around Vegas to reach Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park, and of course, taking the kids to Disneyland.  And, I am quietly excited about the plane trip??  Not sure why, perhaps the enforced rest :)

I will have to stop thinking about it because I could quite possibly BURST with butterflies and happiness.

And now a beautiful family who modelled for the Sydney Scoop workshop.  I love mummy Simone.  She has been to two of my workshops, is now a darling friend and is just sooo hilarious.  Here she is with her hubby and scrumpy girls. xox

Family in the Sunshine

December 1, 2010  |  Family  |  5 Comments

Sooo, last week was simply the most amazing week in the Jesh zone :)  And spending the week with 14 beautiful women who are all now dear friends was a cherished gift.

I am putting the finishing touches on my end-of-year newsletter.  I am loving this little project — it’s turning into quite the magazine :)  If you have ever had a session with me, or have been to a workshop or enquired about a workshop, you will be receiving one.  If you are a friend, fellow-photographer or someone that would like to have a peek, I would love to share it with you, so please shoot me an email me@angiebaxter.com.au.

This darling family wanted a session by the beach.  We found a shady pocket of grass overlooking the ocean and kicked back for an hour or so enjoying the salty breeze.  They snuggled and laughed and it was gorgeous.

Baby Photography

Back to school for the kids this week — so I am in catch up mode.  And finally Melbourne, you have given us some Spring weather.  Even I, the sun-phobe, am relishing the rays.

And, our exciting news for the year is we have booked a family holiday to the States next year — yee haa!  Vegas for WPPI, then a huge Baxter road trip through California with side trips to Grand Canyon and Portland.  So excited.  If anyone happens to be from or have visited LA, San Fran, Portland, and anywhere in between, please send me through any recommendations for areas to stay, places to eat, fab markets — any info would be gorgeous!!

Look at this little face.  I was stuck on this image while proofing — her eyes and darling lips.  This sweetie was a model from the Adelaide workshop.  She didn’t know quite what to make of all the new faces oohing and aahing over her.

Our Rainy Sunday

June 21, 2010  |  Journal  |  No Comments

After my session yesterday, despite the rain, we were keen to get out of the house and take a trip into town.  Lunch at our favourite place in the city, Automatic, where I ordered my all time most favouritest meal EVER – dahl.  Our waiter was so kind and gave the kids big balls of pizza dough to play with which was loads of fun.  Then we went to Imax for some Shrek 3D – so gorgeous.  I love the Shrek films – Donkey, too funny.  Imogen has only been to the cinema once before and went very well with her first 3D experience.  How was your Sunday? x

Tasmania Holiday part three

May 13, 2010  |  Journal / Travel  |  1 Comment

We spent a day at Port Arthur.  Chilling, eerie and one of the most visually spectacular corners of the world.   The kids were fascinated with the history of convict transportation the old convict gaol — Will in particular.  He only asked 268 questions about leg-irons.   I would definitely say this is a must-see place — even better on a good-weather day.

The scenery on the drive down is heavenly too.  I’m no landscape photographer, but this gives you an idea.
